Medical Liaison

Where should this be looked at? The research is ours to do.

Medicine belongs to physicians. But the research that precedes a decision, the year of screenings, the bookings, and the days that follow once the findings are in — a physician sees as far as the consulting room door, and beyond it no one is in charge. That is the work we take on.

A year set out in a ledger
Our Position

We are not a medical institution.

Wellness Director Azabu is not a medical institution and does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. All medical acts are performed by physicians and medical institutions. Our role is to organise information, bring you options for where to be seen, make the booking, and support what surrounds it.

Where we introduce a hospital or clinic, we do so impartially. We do not steer members toward any particular institution.

If symptoms are urgent, please call emergency services or attend a medical institution before contacting us.

In Practice

What “research and arrangement” means.

The phrase is stiff on its own, so here it is as it happens — including where our work ends and a physician’s begins.

“There’s a heaviness in my stomach most mornings.”
  • Since when, after eating or on an empty stomach, how many dinners this month — what you tell us is set out on a single sheet
  • We research three gastroenterology clinics and list them by how soon you could be seen
  • Last year’s screening figures and six months of dietary record are prepared in a form you can hand over on the day
  • We make the booking and arrange the car

We do not form a view on symptoms. Diagnosis and treatment belong to physicians. If symptoms are urgent, please call emergency services and attend a medical institution before contacting us.

“Isn’t my annual screening about due?”
  • You should not have had to ask — we come to you first
  • We set out whether last year’s institution still suits and whether anything should be added, and discuss it with you
  • We book around the days your diary is open, and send the pre-appointment instructions, down to the previous evening’s meal
  • When the findings arrive, the training and nutrition programme is rebuilt around those numbers
What We Do

Four kinds of work.

01The Year

The year of screenings

The annual screening, the check-up, the dentist, the ophthalmologist. Each is easy to recall and hard to place. We lay them out across the year, come to you when the time arrives, make the booking, and arrange the car.

  • Screenings and check-ups scheduled and booked
  • Dental and ophthalmic maintenance kept on schedule
  • The same, held for your family (Signature)

02Where to Go

Choosing where to be seen

We listen, establish what field the matter belongs to, and research the institutions worth considering. Not a list, but a shortlist. Diagnosis belongs to the physician; what we bring you goes only as far as where to be seen.

  • Options for where to be seen, researched and arranged
  • Specialists arranged
  • Second opinions arranged
03Frontier

Access to newer fields

Where you wish it, we introduce and arrange clinics in preventive and regenerative medicine. Our position is that of introduction and arrangement; we are not in a position to speak to the content or the outcome of any procedure. Please decide only on a physician’s explanation.

  • Preventive medicine clinics introduced and arranged
  • Regenerative medicine clinics introduced and arranged
04Abroad

Away from home

Your health does not pause while you are abroad. For each destination we secure, in advance, options where you can be seen in Japanese or English, and hand them over with the itinerary. Best never used — but the point is that they exist.

  • Medical options secured for the duration of a stay
  • Pre-departure arrangements advised and handled
The Ledger

The year, in a ledger.
